Psychotherapy Beyond Symptom Relief

Many of the people I work with clinically may appear successful on the outside while inwardly feeling anxious, empty, or stuck. Some have already participated in therapy and feel ready to explore themselves at a deeper level. Depth-oriented psychotherapy offers a space to approach these experiences with curiosity, reflection, and care. As an immigrant and native Spanish speaker, I also bring a culturally attuned perspective to my work and welcome those who are navigating cultural identity, immigration experiences, or life between languages and cultures.

Psychoanalytic psychotherapy explores how our blind spots and past experiences influence how we live, love, and understand ourselves. Over time, this process can open the possibility for new ways of relating to yourself and to others. My work is grounded in depth-oriented psychoanalytic psychotherapy and informed by more than 25 years of clinical experience. In addition to being a trained psychoanalyst, I integrate approaches such as EMDR, trauma-informed yoga, and psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy when appropriate. This individualized integrative approach allows therapy to address the emotional, relational, and somatic dimensions of your experience.

If you're curious whether working together might be helpful, I invite you to reach out.

I offer supervision and consultation for therapists interested in Depth psychotherapy, along with telehealth psychotherapy for individuals, in Texas, Illinois, Maryland, and Washington.

Areas of Specialty

Trauma-Informed Yoga

Trauma can make us disconnect from our bodies and alter our sense of agency. Trauma-Informed Yoga is a tool that restores connection and assists regulation of emotions and the nervous system.

Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis

Psychoanalysis is a form of talk therapy that explores unconscious thoughts and emotions to understand and address mental health challenges. By examining patterns in speech, dreams, and behaviors, individuals gain insights into unresolved conflicts and emotions, leading to personal growth and improved well-being.

KAP

Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) is an innovative therapeutic approach that combines the use of ketamine, a dissociative anesthetic, with psychotherapy. Administered under the supervision of trained professionals, ketamine helps induce a altered state of consciousness, enhancing the psychotherapeutic process.
